Offers a drop-in PC giving 30 minutes free Internet access. If you have a wiltshire library card you can get 2x1 Hour sessions each day with the library free of charge, the net access is fast but has limits on the sites you can visit and the web browser is a dated version of IE6, without Flash support, this limits web access to a lot of advanced web sites and some web 2.0 style sites. Training days and support is also offered so its a good place to send the novice PC user.
Wireless hotspot's
Kings Arms, Free wireless 8MBThe best free Internet around, unlimited access, good food and drinks served all day. open fires and lots of space. The Landsdown, Free wireless access (Username:arkells, Password:ales)Nice little bar at the back of the landsdown hotel, offers a good speed Internet access for free, just buy a drink and surf away. Steve will more than likely be serving you, he is knowledgeable about computer and I am sure happy to help, he is also a member of the WCUG.
#Not listed here ? send the site admin an email and we will have you added! Computer ResourcesAgain I would like to recommend the local library's service's as listed above they offer good internet access, but in addition to this they also offer printing @ £0.10 per sheet, photocopying, scanning, faxing and BOOKS duh, great place when you need some quite time. Town council officesThey offer an infopoint terminal, this if you ask me is next to useless. If you need a local map or direct council services, maybe you can do it on the ugly device in the corner of the offices, of course once you have mastered the metal keys and huge tracker ball. Good luck with that.
