Using Firefox as a Calculator PDF Print E-mail

This handy little tip will save you reaching for the calculator next time you can't work it out in your head, and Not just simple + and - either with this you can do Square roots, division, percentages and more.

Load up firefox and head over to the Google powered search, type the following

200+40
Firefox Calculator
You will see the result show, instantly so no need to press search button.

128 * 4
Firefox Calculator
Times, Format is "First Number" space "*" space "Second Number".

64 / 2
Firefox Calculator
Division works just as well, format is "First Number" space "/" space "Second Number"

14% of 111
Firefox Calculator
Percentage, format is "Percentage%" space "of" space "total"

sqrt(121)
Firefox Calculator
Square roots, format is "sqrt(number)"

 

Ok technically its using google, but its a great tool, I use it a lot when designing web sites, if you need to work out images sizes, CSS styles and more, I hope you find this useful I know it saves me loads of time.
